PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT AND WHAT TO EXPECT

  • When you arrive to the studio, you will be greeted by reception or one of our artists.

You will then be asked to scan a QR code which will lead to you to our consent form. The consent form will collect your personal information, including email, as tattoo aftercare instructions, will be automatically emailed to you.

  • Design drafts will generally not be provided to you before the day of the appointment.

However, for more complicated designs, your tattoo artist may choose to send them ahead of the appointment. This will be up to their discretion.

We always allocate time at the beginning of the session to have a final consultation. Here you and your tattoo artist will review the design together, as well as the sizing and rough placement. We find communication is better for all parties this way, as it avoids too many miscommunications and delays in responses.

We encourage you to ask as many questions as you need, and to voice any concerns, and changes you would like to make. We’re here to give you a tattoo that you will love. There will be no issue with making minor changes to the design.

A stencil will not be prepared until you are 100% happy with the design.

Exact placement will be discussed during the stencilling process.

  • Our highest priority is in the safety of our clients and artists and providing you with the best tattoo possible. For this reason, we do not allow plus ones to wait next to you while you are being tattooed.

Only clients, tattoo artists and staff, will be allowed in the procedural areas.

Any plus ones will be asked to wait outside the studio, or in the waiting area, if space allows.

We understand that you might be nervous and may need the moral support, however, it is also our jobs to make sure you are at ease and comfortable.

  • We often have multiple group bookings on any given day, and sometimes, at the same time.

We will kindly request that any client not currently being tattooed wait outside the studio to avoid over-crowding.

Where possible, we will request that each member of the group stagger their arrival.

  • Managing your energy levels is crucial as this helps with pain management and the healing process. Please ensure you are well rested and have eaten before coming in. Also, be sure to drinks lots of water.

We recommend bringing a water bottle with you. We have filtered water taps available in the studio, should you need to refill your bottle.

Please refrain from consuming drugs & alcohol at least 24 hours before the appointment. We will not be able to tattoo you if you are under the influence.

  • Please wear loose clothing that will allow easy access to that area of skin to be tattooed.

Avoid wearing clothing that you do not want to get stained.

For women getting tattooed in more intimate areas, a privacy screen will be brought out.

  • Please bring your ID with you.

If your session is more than a few hours, please feel free to bring food, snacks and a water bottle with you. Sugar and fatty snacks are recommended and will help you get through your session.

Feel free to also bring your own entertainment such as an iPad, earphones or a book.

We also recommend bringing your own phone charger.

In the cooler months, we recommend bringing a jacket or a light blanket with you. We do not provide blankets at the studio to avoid cross contamination.

  • We accept card payments and cash. Card payments are preferred.

  • We cannot tattoo over sunburn, so be mindful of your sun exposure prior to your tattoo appointment, especially in the summer months. If you become sunburnt close to your appointment date, please let us know ASAP.

Keep your skin moisturised and please avoid fake tan.

If you suffer from any skin conditions, and are experiencing a “flare up” around the time of your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. We may need to consider rescheduling your appointment.

You do not need to shave the area to be tattooed prior to coming in, as we will do this for you.

  • We do not recommend the use of numbing cream for a number of reasons, which include maintaining your health and safety.

However, if you must use numbing cream, please make sure you discuss this with your artist before the day of the appointment. If you apply numbing cream and fail to speak to your artist as requested, your appointment may be rescheduled and your deposit will be forfeited.

Numbing cream must be applied prior to coming into the studio for your appointment. The artist’s hourly rate will begin to apply when you arrive, if numbing cream is applied at the studio during your appointment.
